VMworld 2017 Preview

It's hard to believe that it's almost here already, but VMworld 2017 is just around the corner! It is a very exciting time for those in the virtualization community. There are so many great learning opportunities, with very good speakers on some great topics such as VSAN, VMware on AWS, NSX and many more. I thought I would put together a short post with some of the sessions I plan on attending while I am out there.

My Session List

Feel the vRealize Network Insight: Overcoming Operational Challenges with NSX and Underlay Networking [NET2810BU] with @theseanodell Presenting

There are many opportunities to network as well, I am really looking forward to meeting some of the new people I have met on twitter since getting into the community vexpert program and starting this blog. I have also met a lot of people through the VMUG events I have spoken at and look forward to seeing them again as well. If anyone else wants to meet up while out at VMworld hit me up on twitter @importcarguy

This is going to be one of the best VMworld's ever for me personally as I have also signed up for the VMware Code Hackathon, this is an event where you can join a team and do problem solving on a particular Project. You can join any team and no coding experience is necessary. I will be on team SABUtage with Jase McCarty, Cormac Hogan and a few others. We will be working on end to end automation of a stretched VSAN cluster using powercli. This will be a lot of fun and will be a great learning experience as I am a powercli newbie. Click Here to learn more about it and sign up. I hope to see you all out there in a few weeks and safe travels! Vegas Baby!
